One of A.C.T. ’s crowning achievements in 2008 was the construction of a special tent for the Obama-McCain final debate on the campus of Hofstra University in Hempstead, Long Island. The tent had to be designed with non-metallic frames to avoid interfering with the operation of metal detectors and fitted with partitions made of a special kind of fabric to conceal secret service agents.
